Version 2025-06-03

The Event Space is intended for events that are in line with the objective of Campus@Sea: to stimulate innovations related to the sustainable multiple use of the North Sea.

Rental and liability
The Event Space is located on the third floor. The tenant may use the entire floor, including toilets and roof terrace.

The rental of the Event Space includes the use of Wi-Fi, flipcharts and audiovisual equipment. Coffee/tea is also included in the rental price.

The rental of the Event Space is at the tenant’s own risk and responsibility.

The lessor is responsible for reporting any damage caused to Campus@Sea. The lessee is liable for damage caused to the property or inventory in the Event Space by the lessee or any of the persons who have been granted access to the Event Space by the lessee during the rental of the Event Space.

The lessee is not authorised to transfer their right of shared use to third parties.

Leave the Event Space and terrace tidy. If this is not the case, cleaning costs of €50 will be charged.

After using the Event Space, the tenant shall take a photo of the contents of the blue locker and send it to info@campusatsea.nl. The blue locker contains:

If no photo has been received and items are missing, the replacement costs will be borne by the hirer. These costs will be added to the final invoice. If this has already been sent, a new invoice will be sent for the replacement costs.

The Event Space is located in a residential area. Use of the terrace is permitted, but please be considerate of the neighbours. Amplified sound on the terrace is therefore not permitted. If there are any complaints during your meeting, Campus@Sea has the right to terminate the meeting prematurely.

Smoking is not permitted in the Event Space or on the terrace.

Reservation and cancellation
An option can be taken on the Event Space. As soon as another tenant registers, the first applicant will be offered the opportunity to convert the option into a reservation. The second applicant will then have the second option.

An option is not a reservation.

The space is definitively reserved when the client has accepted the quotation online by signing it or by indicating their agreement by email.

Cancellations by the tenant 2 weeks or more before the booking date can be made free of charge. For cancellations less than 2 weeks before the booking date, 50% of the room rental will be charged.
For cancellations less than 1 week before the booking date, 100% of the quotation amount (room hire including any catering costs) will be charged.

You can change the number of participants up to one week prior to your visit.

The lessor has the right to terminate the final reservation prematurely. This must be done no later than 3 weeks prior to the meeting. The lessor will provide a suitable alternative.

In the event of demonstrable force majeure, both the lessor and the lessee have the right to cancel the meeting.

Invoicing
The tenant shall provide the correct invoicing details before the start of the rental period.

Payment of the invoice must be made 14 days after receipt of the invoice. If the invoice is not paid, two payment reminders will follow. If the invoice is still unpaid after the second reminder, 15% of the invoice amount will be charged as reminder costs.

All prices are exclusive of VAT.

NB The Event Space manual contains instructions for using AV equipment, the kitchen and catering options. Please read this carefully before using the Event Space.
